You might object that the signal assignments are supposed to be synchronized (each to the rising and falling edge), however that is by no means the way I would have coded this! This would be a personal choice, and there is no requirement that you do that. So, I did something a bit different and created a table to record the events. The bitvector that represents the events are cleared before a reading for the next’read’. The Latch signals are read for every signal definition. This is a simplified implementation.
This, on the other hand, creates an unknown number of signal events per time increment. It is hard to tell, however we are performing a read on a latch, so it would be quite wasteful to do this for 50,000 increments. Also note that we are actually using two bitvectors here, and we could add a 3rd and limit the duration of the next read to 5 ms (not a terrible number of events to look at).
